Staff at a housing association have been helping those in need this Christmas by donating to a food bank.
The Need Project, based at Kings Baptist Church, Stotfold, delivers food parcels, as well as clothing, white goods and furniture.
Staff at Aragon Housing Association decided to help give a little more this festive season by giving over £300 of food to the charity.
Gordon Hamilton, who acts as team leader for the Need Project, said: “We’ve got a great relationship with Aragon and over the past seven years we have really made a difference to people’s lives.
“Whole families, including pets, will benefit from these food parcels and the addition of the Christmas pudding will hopefully bring that extra bit of festive cheer on Christmas Day.
“Things get so much busier at this time of year and partnerships with companies like Aragon really help us to provide a little bit extra for those who may have little or nothing at Christmas.”
Staff also donated Christmas puddings and collected over £200 so that those less fortunate could still benefit from some Christmas cheer.
Elliott Stephenson, welfare manager at Aragon, said: “We know that this time of year can be tough for people, which is why it’s so fantastic to see such generosity from all of our staff. Giving just a little at this time of year can make a huge difference, which is why we work with the Need Project. “Between us we will be able to make Christmas special for those who aren’t as fortunate as the rest of us.”
