BREAKING NEWS: Nadine Dorries has Conservative Party whip restored
Ms Dorries, who was suspended by the party in November after appearing on reality show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, had a meeting this afternoon with Chief Whip George Young.
There are no conditions attached to her reinstatement, although Sir George did stipulate that Ms Dorries must not absence herself from parliament without permission in the future - a rule which applies to all MPS.

Many senior politicians called for Nadine to be reinstated. These include local party chairman Budge Wells, and former national party leader David Davis who compared treatment of the MP to an ‘old Etonian clique’ citing other MPs who have faired better when they stepped out of line.
In November Nadine hit the headlines who she chose to travel to Australia to appear in the reality show and spent a week in the jungle taking part in gruesome tasks.
