Central Bedfordshire is now eligible for superfast broadband under the Government’s Connection Vouchers Scheme.
This means small and medium-sized businesses, registered charities and social enterprises can get a superfast broadband connection with a voucher worth up to £3,000. And they can club together to make their vouchers go further.
Off-the-shelf and bespoke packages can be purchased from a wide range of registered suppliers.
Information about the scheme can be found at www.destinationdigital.info/vouchers
It is a first come, first served scheme, operating until March 30, 2016, but finishing sooner than this if the national pot of £40 million runs out.
Jason Longhurst, Central Beds Council Director for Regeneration and Business, said: “This is a further boost to businesses in the area and a key part of plans to extend connectivity and take up of broadband.”
