Calls were made for Biggleswade Town Council to give more detail about ‘exempt items’ at its meetings; those for which the press and public are excluded.

A member of the public, addressing the council, said that listings of exempt items were excessively vague and added that more details could be given. He added that local government guidelines say decisions should be disclosed to the press.

The town clerk said these were ‘reasonable requests’.
