Canoe travels inspire artist exhibiting at school

A former director of art at Bedford School is to have his own work exhibited there.

Rob Campbell, who lives in Willington, will see a selection of works unveiled on Friday, January 8, in the main foyer between 7.30pm and 9pm, which is open to the public.

Rob also ran the school’s canoe club and he now travels to Scotland with his canoe to explore beautiful, secluded areas to seek materials and inspiration for his work, and part of one is pictured. Rob uses various mediums to create his prints, paintings and sculptures.

The public are able to access the exhibition Monday- Friday 9.30am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 12.15pm (closed Sundays and Saturday, January 23) and the exhibition is open until February 10. Visit
