After being graded ‘oustanding’ in their SIAMS inspection (Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools), Northill C of E VA pupils and staff have just cause for celebration.
The latest accolade comes hot on the heels of their ‘Good School’ grade from Ofsted.
The additional positive report for the church school is confirmation that the children’s spiritual and moral education is excellent.
The inspector said: “The commitment, drive and vision of the headteachers, staff and governors have energised the distinctive Christian character of the school and the impact on behaviour, attitudes to learning and pupils’ enjoyment of school is very strong.”
Head of School Mrs Alison Barden said: “We’re delighted with the school’s achievement and so proud of all the children and staff involved in the inspection. To receive grades of ‘Outstanding’ as well as ‘Good’ in one school year is marvellous.”
Northill’s mission is “To provide a Christian environment which enables our children to reach their potential, to develop an understanding of self and others and to care about the world we live in.”
