Millbridge Brook Meadows in Gamlingay has been landscaped and enhanced following financial and land negotiations as a result of the new housing estate.

The ribbon was cut by MP Andrew Lansley. Other dignitaries included Sarah Groom, chair of Gamlingay Parish Council, county councillor Sebastian Kindersley, district councillor and project manager Bridget Smith and David Bard, chair of South Cambs District council.

There were plenty of activities including a caveman demonstrating flint knapping, boat races, pond dipping, brass rubbing and an archaeological test pit.
