Chair for service
A new chair will lead Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Authority.
Councillor Colleen Atkins was appointed at the annual meeting on Tuesday, June 17.
Ms Atkins, of Bedford Borough Council, said: ““Having served as a member of the Fire Authority for some years, I am fully aware of the important work that Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service does, both in terms of dealing with emergencies and also helping to prevent them.”
