Charity cake sale for Biggleswade pupils

ENTERPRISING schoolchildren raised £158 at a charity cake sale at the weekend.

Pudsey Bear was very much the beneficiary of the sale, which took place at Cafe Mocha in Biggleswade High Street on Saturday (November 5) in aid of Children In Need.

Residents could buy cupcakes, cookies, gingerbread men, sponges, flapjacks and other baked treats at the sale, which ran for two hours during the morning.

It was organised by a group of pupils from Holmemead Middle School in Biggleswade.

Children in Need is the BBC’s UK corporate charity. The appeal provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. This year’s appeal night will take place on Friday, November 18.
