The three choirs combine to perform

St Mary’s singers from Potton and Biggleswade and District Choral Society joined Leighton Buzzard Festival singers to produce an evening’s entertainment at King’s House in Bedford.

The event consisted of two halves. The first comprised of orchestral works while the second consisted of the three choirs combining to perform Brahms’ German Requiem conducted by David Beer.

The joint choir consisted of 155 voices and they were joined by the East Bedfordshire Chamber Orchestra as well as soloists Gina Abbatt and Simon Williams.

The choirs hope to perform together again in the future, but for now each choir will be working on its own summer programme.

Biggleswade Choral Society are rehearsing ‘Songs from the Movies’ to be performed at the end of June and St Mary’s singers are working on ‘Passion Flower’ which they will perform in July.
