Christmas spirit at the library

CHRISTMAS cards will have a personal touch this year thanks to a library craft session.

On Friday (November 18) Sandy Library held a Christmas card making morning and all adults were invited to join in.

The event was extremely popular with the women who attended. Library assistant, Adriana Braybrooks, said: “It was really good and it went slightly beyond the time. There weren’t any spare seats around the table!

“Some of the ladies come to regular events and there were a few new people.

“All of the resources were provided by us though some bring their own materials and sit and pick up tips. We have a few examples on display and they took the rest home.”

Other festive crafts are planned to take place at the library. From the start of the school holidays there will be Christmas activities all day in the children’s section of the library with plenty of chances to colour and draw. Additionally, on Friday, December 2 there will be a Christmas demonstration by Sandy Flower Club at 2.15pm.
