Creative designs for the carnival

Carnival fans had the chance to enjoy an annual event.

Youngsters from the schools in Sandy and Moggerhanger were invited to take part in Sandy Carnival’s annual school art competition.

Lois Tucker, 7, of Laburnum Lower School won the under 7s category. She came first overall and was given £100. Her design will be used on the programme and on posters.

Amelia Callari, 8, also of Laburnum Lower School, came first in the eight to 12 category. She came second overall won £75.

Thomas Black, 13, of Sandye Place Academy won the 13 plus category, came third overall and won £50. The money will go to the schools and each child also receives a £25 Argos voucher – all donated by Inskip & Davie estate agents. Pictured are Lois and Tom with Daniel Davie, holding Amelia’s entry.
