Two armed men attempted to snatch a dog from a man in Biggleswade on Tuesday (May 4).

The incident happened at around 9.30pm when the men approached a dog walker in Chew Meadow and attempted to take the dog whilst showing, what the victim believes to be, a knife.

The two men were riding a red bike and an e-scooter and followed the victim to his home address.

PC Ashleigh Napier, investigating the incident, said: “This was a brazen attempted robbery of a dog which has left the victim understandably shaken and concerned for his and his dog’s welfare.

“We are appealing for residents to check their door cams, dash cams or CCTV for anything that could help us identify these suspects. If you saw two men riding a bike and e-scooter in Biggleswade yesterday, please get in contact so we can prevent this from happening to another person.”
