Potton’s Boundary Cafe is bouncing back after suffering a break-in on Tuesday night.

The Cafe, at The Hollow, closed on Wednesday but was back up and running on Thursday, despite having no coffee machine.

And wellwishers were quick to offer support on the cafe’s Facebook page.

Claire Titmus said: “There are some seriously scummy people about! I hope you’re up and running again very soon, you have the support of the whole community behind you and, what’s more, I hope they catch the pond life and throw away the key.”

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating a break-in at Potton Cricket Club in The Hollow overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Offenders smashed their way in through a window before stealing bottles of alcohol and cash. They also pulled a coffee machine from a wall which flooded the building.

“The informant called to report the break-in at 5.40am on Wednesday. The call handler arranged for scenes of crime officer to attend to recover any evidence.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. “
