A family is appealing for the return of a watch which has great sentimental value.
The late 19th century gold pocket watch on a gold chain with a gemstone at the end was stolen during a burglary on a house in Upper Caldecote on July 25.
It has the words “cylinder mechanism” engraved on the back and had a small key with it.
It was given to the distraught homeowner by his grandfather.
The burglary took place during the day while the homeowners were at work. Other jewellery items stolen including a Tissot wrist watch and a Silver and Peridot jewellery set.
