A group of dancers took part at the Comic Relief Dancethon at the SEE Arena in Wembley.
Juliette Albone, Sian Spencer, Trudy Stribling and Caroline Powner all attend Trudy’s FitSteps classes at Saxon Leisure Centre and their love of ‘Strictly’ inspired them all to take part in this fundraising event.
The Dancethon featured a range of dances, and the event was hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
Throughout the six-hour event, the dance style changed every 30 minutes and featured a range of dances from street dance, disco, jive, 80’s anthems, 90’s rave, pop, soul, musical theatre and ballroom.
A professional choreographer taught each different dance style and the whole event was hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
Numerous celebrities also busted some moves during the event.
The event was broadcast live on the BBC red button.
Juliette said: “ The atmosphere in Wembley was amazing. The six hours actually went very quickly as you were changing dance styles and tempos every half an hour. It was incredible to think that we actually danced the equivalent of a marathon!
“The amazing day was topped off when we got to meet Natalie Lowe and Iain Waite from Strictly. It was an incredible day that I will never forget.”
