The paint company will arrange for a local painter and decorator to be used.

A total of 23 pubs have been shortlisted.

John Pritchett who runs The March Hare, said: “Winning the competition will give our pub a much-needed boost and will be a fantastic way to renovate our business when money is particularly tight.

“A fresh lick of paint will make such a difference to our pub’s image and will help to attract more custom.”

The pub which comes in second place will be given £750 worth of Glidden Trade paints and three runners up will take home £150 worth of paint.

The winners will be announced later this month.
