Summer facelift for the town’s parks

Work has been taking place over the summer months to improve Biggleswade’s parks.

At Kitelands Recreation Ground an order has been placed for the installation of two Zig Zag Twisters for the playground area, the removal of rubber tiles and installation of kerb edging.

And at the Lakes Recreation Ground the swing frame has been removed and repainted ready for installation at Poppyfields.

Concrete bases and tiles have been replaced with top soil and reseeded.

Benches have also been removed for refurbishment.

Six bins are also to be installed at Dan Albone Car Park, Eagle Farm Road, Franklin Recreation Groundannd Kitelands Recreation Ground.

The allotment access road has also been completed.

The full works are expected to cost around £12,000 after being approved by members of Biggleswade Town Council.
