Football fans had the chance to realise one of the lifetime’s ambitions on Monday evening when the FA Cup came to Biggleswade.
Amid tight security, the trophy of the oldest football competition in the world, came to Second Meadow, the home of Biggleswade United.
Director of Football Guillem Balague put back a trip to Munich for the Audi Cup especially to attend the event.
Guillem said: “I’m so proud and so pleased, that I’m almost lost for words.
This is absolutely wonderful news for all of us at the club.”
Several residents turned out for the event and commented on the ‘We Love Biggleswade’ Facebook page afterwards.
