The sporting pupils at Fairfield Park Lower School in Stotfold are celebrating a double at an athletics tournament.
The youngsters in key stages 1 and 2 took part in the competition held at the University of Cranfield, and was organised by the Redborne Sports Partnership.
The 12 children representing KS1 worked as a team to collect points from a variety of different athletic activities based on jumping, throwing and running skills.
In KS2, the pupils earned points for their performances in six field events - jumping and throwing - and this was followed by a variety of timed, competitive running races.
Out of the eight schools competing, Fairfield Park finished first for both KS1 and KS2, and the first the school has won both competitions.
Miss Jackson, PE subject leader, said how extremely proud she was of both KS1 and KS2 teams for winning the double at the festival.
She added: “All the children represented the school with effort and enthusiasm and were so pleased that all of their hard work and practice during lunchtimes had paid off.”
