Angela Butcher has been diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer and her family raised £4,700 in six hours at the event in Biggleswade.
They are also confident that the very first research into small cell ovarian cancer will be undertaken in the UK as a result.
Friends, relatives and well-wishers travelled to Biggleswade from all over the UK and further afield, and there were a variety of fundraising activities and events.
