Spring is just around the corner and soon Britain’s feathered friends will be looking to set up camp in gardens across the country.

This February half term, Frosts Garden Centre in Willington is inviting children to come along to ‘A Little Birdie,’ where they can decorate their very own bird box.

The activity is taking place between 10am and 4pm from Monday, February 16 until Sunday, February 22.

Children will see their hard work displayed in the garden at home and even more excited when their first visiting birds move in to hatch their chicks.

February half term coincides with National Nest Box Week and according to the RSPB, over 60 species of birds use nest boxes so parents will know they are doing a good deed in providing shelter.

The activity lasts approximately 25 minutes and tickets cost £5.99 per child, including a bird box, a bird themed activity sheet, a drink of squash and a chocolate treat.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased at the customer service desk, online at www.frostsgroup.com or by calling 0800 954 9484.
