Fireworks fun for the whole family at public displays

Remember, remember - the skies are soon to be ablaze with colour - but stay safe by visiting an organised event.

Make a date for public displays of fireworks and bonfires as we celebrate Guy Fawkes night.


Tickets for Hazeldene School’s Fireworks Spectacular on Thursday, November 5 are now on sale.

Doors open at 5.30pm with the display by trained pyrotechnicians starting at 6.30pm.

The ‘Glow Store’ will be open selling flashing wands and there will be hot dogs and other refreshments available to buy.

Advance tickets are £3.50 for children (under 2 free); £4 for adults or just £14 for a family of 5.

Call the school office on 01234 300100 or if you wish to reserve tickets and collect them on the school gate contact to arrange this.

Tickets on the door will cost £4 for children and £4.50 for an adult or £15 for a family ticket.

Own sparklers and fireworks are strictly not allowed.


In Shefford, the annual display will take place at The White Hart on Saturday,November 7.

Gates open at 7pm and the display starts at 8pm. Admission is adults £5, under 16s £3, under 5s free.

A barbecue will be provided by Shefford Saints and glowsticks by Shefford Lower School.

No animals, except assistance dogs. No personal fireworks or sparklers permitted.


Stotfold Football Club will be holding their usual Bonfire and Firework Display on Thursday, November 5, at Roker Park.

The fire will be lit at 7pm with the firework display at 7.30pm.

Admission is adult £5, child £2.50 family with up to 2 children £12.

There will be a bar, barbecue, refreshments, vintage organ, children’s roundabout and sideshows. There will be a collection for the club’s chosen charity, Keech Hospice Care.
