A charity tennis day is being organised by a citizenship group.

The National Citizen Service (NCS) are arranging the tennis fun day in aid of Macmillan in Biggleswade.

This event will be part of a the organisation’s Social Action Project which aims to help the local community and a charity by raising funds and awareness.

The day of tennis will be held on Monday, August 31 at Biggleswade Town Bowls Club, in Drove Road, SG18 0HP, running from noon until 4.30pm.

The day offers the chance for all to play fun tennis games, browse around family friendly stalls and enjoy homemade cakes!

Entrance to the event is free but there will be a small cost for cakes/stalls and all is going to Macmillan funds.

The NCS is open to all 16 and 17-year-olds in England, helping them build skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

Participants develop a social action project to deal with a local issue they’re passionate about, and spend 30 hours putting the project into action.
