Fundraising for Clifton church

CLIFTON residents will be able to buy calendars and cards bearing images of the village as part of a new project.

All Saints Church in Clifton and the Saturday Club for young people have teamed up with the Cre8tive Agency to print the cards and calendars for 2012.

Both products will be launched at the village’s Christmas Fayre, which is due to take place at All Saints Lower School on Saturday, November 26, running from 2pm to 4pm.

Each month on the calendar is represented by a different picture, and photographs include the pipes in All Saints Church, the Clifton sign and other scenes around the village.

All proceeds will go towards the Saturday Club, which is run for five to 11-year-olds.

A charity Elvis night also raised £750 for the church and the club.

Elvis impersonator Alvin Printwhistle performed at the fundraiser at the Clifton Cuisine restaurant.
