Gang show finale for Nick will be an unforgettable time

The producer of the Biggleswade Gang Show promises a parade of unforgettable acts and lots of fun for his final event.

After hosting the show since 1999, scout leader Nick Gurney has decided to call it a day.

The two-hour show will feature cubs celebrating their 100th birthday with scenes from the Jungle Book.

Watch out for bears and elephants and snakes and tigers!

Also in the cast will be beavers, brownies and guides. There will be several making their debut including seven-year-old Zoe with partners Alyssa and Ziva who will be making eyes at you in their rendition of the Quartermasters Store.

The acts include the usual range of dances, sketches and music led by musical director Claire.

The leaders reckon they will be letting their hair down as usual just to show they also can have fun.

Nick said: “We still have room for more cast if you would like to take part. And extra band members would be welcome if you can play an instrument.”

Nick will be retiring from active involvement after 17 years as producer and over 30 years as a performer.

Make a note in your diary for the show on March 19.

Tickets will be on sale from the box office, Satchells the Estate Agents, from the end of January.
