Gold stars all round for RE provision
A lower school has been celebrating after the quality of its religious education lessons was officially recognised.
Sutton School is the first school within the Diocese of St Albans to be awarded gold level for the RE Quality Mark.
An assessor visited the school and spent time with children and staff as well as looking at evidence collated by Lucy Chapman, teacher and RE coordinator.

Hide AdAs the subject leader Lucy has been developing professional relationships with colleagues at local and national levels, becoming a member of the RE Council for England.
To celebrate this success the school held a Going for Gold Day, where children were invited to wear yellow or gold and took part in fun activities where the emphasis was on aiming high to achieve your goals.
