Golden party for longstanding couple
A couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a party at Sandy Conservative Club. Colin and Mary Baker reached their 50th year as a married couple on Friday, July 4.
The pair are from Liverpool but have lived in Sandy for 27 years. They met at a dance when Colin was home for leave from the army and they married two years later. Mary, 71 and Colin 72, of Swansholme Gardens,have two children, Karen and Nigel, and four grandchildren. Mary puts their happy marriage down to their constant friendship. PIC: Ken Lynch
