This year’s Christmas Grotto at the Waresley Park Garden Centre near Sandy is spreading some festive cheer and raising valuable funds for charity.

The Grotto, which is next open on Sunday, December 21 from 10.30am to 4pm, will donate its proceeds to charity Papworth Trust, which supports local disabled people and their families.

The garden centre’s Grotto is held annually in the run-up to Christmas to entertain families and raise funds for local charities. Last year it raised over £1,200 for Papworth Trust.

Andrea Chupacova, Community Fundraiser at Papworth Trust said, “We are really grateful for the Waresley Park Garden Centre’s support this Christmas. The funds raised will help us to continue to deliver services that support local disabled and older people to have more independence, such as youth clubs for disabled young people and centres offering learning and leisure opportunities.”

The grotto can be found at Waresley Park Garden Centre, Waresley, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 3DB.
