Harripail will be headlining an all-day music festival at The Wheatsheaf pub in Dunstable. The event ‘Reason to Rock’ has been organised to help raise money for a charity called ‘PACE’. They aim to help transform the lives of children with disabilities.

The festival takes place on Saturday, August 29 from noon to 1am.

Jean Harripaul said: “To be headlining the festival is great feeling, we hope to help raise money for the charity ‘PACE’ who are working to transform the lives with children with disabilities and at the same time, raise awareness for such a worthy cause, for without donations, charities would not be able to survive.

“In my day job I work with adults with learning disabilities teaching them music - it gives me great joy when I can put a smile on their face and it gives me great satisfaction when you see their talents coming out as you encourage them to express themselves through music.

“Our drummer Charles Bender has Asperger’s syndrome but he is one of the most intelligent and talented drummers I have ever had the privilege to play with.”

The Harripaul album ‘Live your Life’ was released in 2006 and enjoyed strong sales, particularly in Japan and Germany.

The latest Harripaul album ‘Swings and Roundabouts’ marks a further inspiring progression, ranging from the rock/soul hybrid, ‘Tell Me baby’ to the sensitive, laid back vibes of the title track, through to the powerful reggae anthems ‘Revelation’ and ‘Your Face’.

The bands main influences include Bob Marley, Mighty Diamonds, Audioslave, The Skids, Culture, Simple Minds, Robert Cray, Jimmy Hendrix, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and U2.
