Young Biggleswade rugby players are to benefit from new kit bags – thanks to a little help from UK Power Networks.

The company has given the RFC U11s club a £250 grant as part of its Team Sport Award programme.

It donated the money following an application from Stotfold employee Noel Jukes who helps with coaching.

His 10-year-old son Morgan plays for the team, while both Noel and wife Carly work for UK Power Networks.

Neil is a field engineer based in London’s Covent Garden and Carly is an occupational health and safety sustainability coach at the company’s office in Stevenage.

She’s also involved with the team and helps with first aid and catering.

Neil said: “We’re really grateful for the award and hope to buy bags for the team with the club badge and the children’s names on them.”
