Jim retires after 30 years of dentistry

A DENTIST is retiring after 30 years of looking after teeth in Chronicle Country.

Dr Jim Tucker of Ballard & Tucker in Biggleswade is looking forward to spending more time with his wife Sue, as well as fly-fishing and walking.

Jim will be replaced by Dr Hema Dhingra, who joined the Saffron Road practice more than seven years ago.

Hema qualified at the University of Wales College of Medicine and Dentistry in 2001 and has established a reputation for her calming influence.

Jim is not leaving dentistry completely.

He will still be available for sickness and holiday cover and is also hoping to do some voluntary work abroad.

He said: “It’s been a great privilege to meet and treat so many nice people and I have thoroughly enjoyed helping my patients in Biggleswade, so it will be a wrench leaving the dental practice.

“Having worked alongside Hema for the last seven years, I know that she is an excellent dentist and I am confident that my patients are in safe hands.”
