Join staff and volunteers for Big Garden Birdwatch at RSPB headquarters

You can be at the centre of the RSPB's birdwatch project by joining the event at the charity's headquarters in Sandy.

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch later this month is the chance to join the nationwide campaign to check on our feathery visitors.

The Big Birdwatch day at The Lodge is on Sunday, January 31, starting at 10.30am and running until 2.30pm.

Helps add to the day’s bird and wildlife list on the reserve and gardens and get useful tips on identifying the birds coming to the feeders.

There will be friendly RSPB staff and volunteers on hand with information on Giving Nature a Home and feeding garden birds.

You can join guided bird walks, make fat balls to take home, or take time to explore more of the reserve’s site on the Greensand Ridge along five miles of trails, visit the Iron Age banks and ditches on Galley Hill, or watch woodland birds from the hide.

The Lodge has a shop selling birdwatching equipment, books, bird food and gifts and guided walks can also be booked there.
