Eleven cubs from the 1st Langford Cub Scout pack have been awarded their Chief Scout’s Silver Award, the highest awarded in the cub scout section.

Cubs have to complete six challenge badges covering core areas of the Scouting movement – outdoor, global, creative, community, promise and fitness.

The cubs were presented with the award by Biggleswade’s assistant district commissioner for cubs, Bill Mapletoft, and Langford group scout leader, Nigel Betts. They congratulated them on how hard they had worked and encouraged the rest of the pack to work towards their own award.
