Man killed as four vehicles collide in fatal accident

A YOUNG man has been killed while travelling along the M4 in Wiltshire at the weekend.

Guy Edward Turner, 22, from Biggleswade died in an accident between junctions 17 for Chippenham and 18 for Bath on the westbound carriageway on Saturday at 5.40am.

He was driving a Vauxhall Corsa which was in collision with a Land Rover. The Land Rover had been in collision with a Waitrose lorry and came to a stop against the central reservation, when it was then struck by the Vauxhall Corsa.

It is believed the Corsa rebounded into the carriageway and was struck by a Budgens lorry.

Mr Turner was certified dead at the scene. Two men in the Land Rover suffered minor injuries. Nobody else was hurt.

The carriageway was closed for four hours while specialist officers examined the scene.

A man was arrested and has since been released on bail.
