Mayor officially opens relocated pets store

Special guests attended the opening of the relocated Pets at Home store in Biggleswade on Friday.

Mayor of Biggleswade, Cllr Mrs Hazel Ramsey, officially opened the store before taking part in a guided tour of the new facilities.

The store has moved from Biggleswade Retail Park to a larger unit at White Way Retail Park.

David Mills, store manager, said: “What a fantastic start. Our opening weekend for our relocated store went even better than we had hoped and it was great to welcome he Mayor of Biggleswade, Cllr Ramsey.”

Pets at Home in Biggleswade is home to an adoption centre, where pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small animals are cared for until a new loving home can be found.

Other features include a pet village, aquatics centre, reptile centre, groom room and Vets4Pets veterinary practice.
