Robert Bloomfield Academy was the venue for the event organised by Nicola King from the Aragon Housing Association, where youngsters who had performed at a previous night were joined by new performers. A panel of judges which included Shefford mayor Councillor Paul Mackin, Aragon Housing Association volunteer Linda Harrison and DJ Danny G assessed the contenders in turn.

Singer Megan was the eventual winner, with dance group Syntropic in second, jugglers Alex and Richard in third, pianist Leo Green in fourth and freestyle dancer Chris Arnold in fifth.

There were also guests performances from DJ Danny G with the Lyrix Academy and the Vortex dance group.

Mr Mackin said: “It was a really good night and we were delighted to see so many talented performers taking part.”
