Hello again – A Tribute to Neil Diamond comes to the Gordon Craig Theatre on Monday evening.
For the past 20 years, the unique voice and music of Neil Diamond has been portrayed by JJ Jones all over the world, including many years touring Australia and Europe.
Hello Again is his new UK Theatre show for 2014, consisting of 2 hours of unforgettable music celebrating the songwriting genius who has written such enormous hits as ‘Love on the Rocks’, ‘Sweet Caroline’ and ‘Cracklin’ Rosie’.
In the first part of the show JJ takes you back to the early days of Neil’s successes with songs such as ‘Solitary Man’, ‘Shilo’, ‘Song Sung Blue’ and ‘Forever in Blue Jeans’.
The latter half is a more lively adaptation of his ‘Hot August Night’ album, songs from the film The Jazz Singer and features hits including ‘America’, ‘Hello Again’ and ‘Brother Loves Travelling Salvation Show’.
JJ particularly likes to emulate Neil’s live vocal style rather than his recorded voice and combined with the power of his superb 7-piece band, the evening is a spellbinding recreation of Neil Diamond – live in concert.
The event starts at 7:45pm and tickets cost £19.50. Concessions get £2 off and tickets can be purchased by visiting www.gordon-craig.co.uk or calling 01438 363200.
Meanwhile at Milton Keynes Theatre the spine-tingling The Woman in Black continues tonight and tomorrow.
Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, The Woman in Black combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir.
The formula delivers an evening of unremitting drama, transporting the audience into a terrifying and ghostly world.
Tickets can be bought by visiting www.atgtickets.com or by visiting the Milton Keynes Theatre Box Office in person.
