From September 1, anyone seeking advice about domestic and sexual abuse can access a user-friendly website aimed at aiding victims, survivors and professionals.
The Bedfordshire Domestic and Sexual Abuse Partnership is rolling out its new look website which is easier to navigate and much clearer than before. It can also be accessed from phones and tablets.
The changes have been made alongside a rise in the number of domestic and sexual abuse incidences logged thanks to victims having increased confidence in coming forward and reporting what they have been going through.
To aid this, the new look website has a ‘hide my visit’ button which is extremely important to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. The website provides information, practical support and advice.
One of the new features of the website is that a monthly blog will look at hot topics for domestic and sexual abuse; the first issue will focus on recognising male victims and the barriers which stop males disclosing domestic abuse.
