A farm in Gamlingay will once again open its gates for Open Farm Sunday giving visitors a chance to see pigs from the world famous Withersfield herd, along with sheep, poultry and waterfowl this weekend.

Guy Kiddy, one of the partners at Solitaire farm was last November given the accolade in the pig world when he won the Pedigree Pig Breeder of the Year award at the National Pig Awards.

Guy is also chairman of the British Pig Association and was lucky enough along with his wife Melany to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party two weeks ago.

As well as the livestock visitors will have a chance to sit on a tractor and see other pieces of machinery, try a delicious hog roast or just have a cup of tea in the farmhouse garden. The farm is open from 10am to 3.30pm and admission is free.
