FARMING MATTERS: A day out at the Livestock Event

For some reason my husband, usually always so reluctant to leave his beloved farm, always seems able to take time off for this event.

He loves visiting all the industry stands , checking out the latest machinery and watching the demonstrations.

And last year he even got the chance to speak to Meurig Raymond, the president of the National Farmers Union.

The Livestock Event took place on Wednesday and Thursday and is the leading B2B event for the UK livestock industry and so it’s always filled with farmers.

Hosting both cattle and trade exhibitors within a 64,000sqm event area, there are also working machinery demonstrations, two seminar areas, foot trimming demonstrations and National Dairy and Beef Shows.

The event attracts more than 400 exhibitors covering 13 unique product zones. Exhibitors are on hand during the two-day event to demonstrate all-new equipment, products and services to over 17,000 UK and international livestock farmers who travel hundreds of miles to attend the show.

Plenty of visitors went there from our area, and in fact some of the exhibitors were e from here too.
