Overdose led to a pensioner’s death
A PENSIONER who was suffering from depression died of a mixed drug overdose an inquest heard on Tuesday.
Bedford Coroners Court heard how Valerie Lawrence, 68 of Drove Road, Biggleswade had a history of depression and had previously taken an overdose of medication to try and end her life.
Valerie died on July 25 and was found by her husband who went to check on her in her bedroom at lunchtime and found her to be unresponsive.
Coroner David Morris said: “I am recording a verdict that she took her own life wile suffering from depression.”
