A Sandy Town Council spokeswoman, said: "The full route takes around 2.5 hours but you can join for as much or little as you like. There’s plenty of space around the route to keep safely distanced from other groups and find a pace that suits you. Dogs are welcome too.

"You can also complete our easy and fun quiz to earn a Sandy Green Wheel badge and be in with a chance to win a £50 voucher for your favourite Sandy High Street business!"

The online quiz can be completed anytime between now and May 31. Follow the link on the council's Facebook page to get started.

Meanwhile, to help welcome the community back to the High Street and support small, local businesses, the town council and Sandy Centre Group are organising Sandy Spring Craft Market on bank holiday Monday (May 31), from 11am to 5pm in Sandy Market Square.

The spokeswoman added: "Showcasing many of our brilliant local crafters and artists, the market will include a variety of handmade and artisan goods, including art, jewellery, gifts, food, crafts, and more.

"All that, in the surroundings of our lovely town centre, with local pubs, restaurants and cafes offering somewhere to relax and enjoy a bite or something to drink.

"See the event on the council’s Facebook page for more details, including stall announcements, throughout May."
