Planting of trees for students

YOUNGSTERS from an academy have taken part in a tree planting for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Three students from Etonbury Academy in Arlesey lent a hand at the Jubilee Wood tree planting in Stotfold.

The Wood will be composed of native British trees, mainly oak, ash, birch and rowan, which will both enhance the recreational use of the site and improve it as a wildlife habitat.

This is part of a nationwide planting of six million trees to celebrate 60 years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
