Police go to town for special day

More than 200 visitors to a community day could seek advice from police, firefighters and representatives from other organisations.

Beds Police, Beds Fire and Rescue Service, Aragon Housing and Shefford Town Council were just some of the organisations that took part in the My Shefford event on Saturday.

Shefford Fire Station was the venue for My Shefford, where police were on hand to secure number plates on vehicles, mark bicycles with unique serial numbers and supply personal attack alarms.

Beds Police and Crime Commissioner Olly Martins attended, while Age UK, the Need Project , Street Watch and Speed Watch were also on hand to offer advice, help and guidance to visitors.
