Refurbished centre is a great place to learn

BEAUTIFUL faces, hands and feet will emerge from a training centre thanks to a £7,000 upgrade.

Central Beds Council has invested the money in Biggleswade’s Adult Training Centre, which is based in the Recreation Centre on Stratton Upper School’s site.

The room for the beauty and complementary therapy courses has been given a fresh, clean look with moveable curtained dividers for privacy.

Louise Bonfield attends the Monday course and is able fit her training for a career in the beauty industry around her role as a full time mother.

The 20-year-old, who is working towards NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy, said: “The course is really good. Afterwards I’m hoping to get some salon experience and, at some point, set up on my own.

“So far we’ve learnt manicures and pedicures and facials are next.”

For information about the courses on offer visit www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/learning/adult-learning or call 0300 300 8183.
