Laburnum Lower School enjoyed a day of learning about fossils and dinosaurs which was topped off by a t-rex appearing in front of them on the school playground.
The day started with a talk on the history of dinosaurs and how fossils are formed before the children got to look at them up, close and personal.
The school often has visitors relating to history and you could tell the children were very excited about the day.
Deputy headteacher, Minke Dawes, said: “It was brilliant, we went to the education show and we just knew we had to get the dinosaur to come to the school.
“The look on the faces of the children was great, they absolutely loved it and have been very keen all day to find out about the animals.”
