Spooky spectres appear on nature reserve

GHOULS, ghosts, witches and skeletons descended on a nature reserve in time for All Hallows Eve.

Each year the RSPB staff at The Lodge in Sandy entertain children by providing them with spooky Halloween activities.

This year the terror and fun took place ahead on Saturday (October 29) ahead of the main spine-chilling date.

They also had their faces stylishly painted in scary designs. Children who went along in fancy dress were entered into a competition to find the best dressed spectre.

Mark Brandon, visitor and publicity officer, said that the event went well. He added: “It’s always a popular one and we always seem to have a sunny day!”
