Get ready to warm up whatever the weather in Willington when a hot festival gets underway.
Now in its fourth year, Frosts Garden Centre’s popular annual chilli festival is set to be a real scorcher with more on offer than ever before.
Whether it’s meek and mild or hot and spicy, there is something for everyone at Frosts at Willington on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with more than 30 exhibitors from all over the country, tastings galore - including chilli beer and cider - and live music from Andalus, the talented Gipsy King Tribute Band.
James Frost, managing director at Frosts Garden Centres, said: “This is the fourth year of the chilli festival at Frosts at Willington and we’re delighted. Our guests can look forward to more of everything with sizzling entertainment and lots of exhibitors with mouth-watering - and possibly eye-watering - delicacies!”
Entry to the chilli festival at the garden centre in Sandy Road, Willington is free.
And there’s more fun for the children too, as the beach is open for children to enjoy playing in the sand, which is also free.
Visitors will also be able to see and purchase more than 25 varieties of chilli plants including Bhut Jolokia, Trinidad Scorpion, Morouga Red, Cornish Naga, Brain Strain and Scotch Bonnet, with experts on hand to give advice.
