Talented pupils show their artistic skills and imagination

PUPILS danced like aliens, sung sea shanties and made monster masks at a middle school.

The 550 youngsters at Henlow Middle School were off time table all this week.

The idea was to give the children the freedom to let their imaginations take them on a journey of exploration through art, dance, music and drama.

Bridget Fordham, head of music, said: “It was really exciting and so much fun but chaos!

“We do it annually but this year it has been really successful and the kids really entered into the spirit of it.”

The year groups were mixed all week.

Headteacher Ray Payne added: “The talent on display has been truly remarkable and it’s wonderful to see the children collaborating like this.”
